DESARROLLO DE SISTEMAS ELECTROQUIMICOS AVANZADOS PARA CONVERSION Y ALMACENAMIENTO DE ENERGIA
Desarrollo de sistemas electroquímicos avanzados de conversión y almacenamiento de energía en base a tecnologías del hidrógeno. Preparación y caracterización de nuevos electrocatalizadores de alta área superficial para las reacciones electródicas de celdas de combustible de hidrógeno-oxígeno y de etanol-oxígeno de baja temperatura, y de baterías alcalinas recargables de níquel-hidruro metálico. Diseño y construcción de prototipos de celdas de combustible avanzadas de multimódulos de alta densidad de potencia y evaluación de su comportamiento en operación y estabilidad a tiempos largos. Diseño y construcción de celdas prototipo de níquel-hidruro metálico y evaluación de su comportamiento bajo ciclado de carga-descarga.
