DEVELOPMENT
OF ADVANCED ELECTRODE MATERIALS FOR ENERGY CONVERSION AND STORAGE. The
main goal of the project is to develop advanced electrode materials with
suitable structural characteristcs and physicochemical properties for
electrochemical energy conversion and storage processes. The project comprises:
i) preparation and characterization of metal alloy electrodes for hydrogen
storage and the evaluation of their performance on charge/discharge cycling
in rechargeable alkaline batteries; ii) preparation and characterization
of metal electrocatalysts with well-defined surface structure and composition,
and the evaluation of their long-term performance and stability in hydrogen/oxygen
fuel cells. |
