In this area the following subjects are dealt with: active dissolution, prepassivation and passivation of metallic glasses and polycrystalline metals and alloys; electrochemical behaviour of composite hydrous oxide layers of the transition metals in alkaline solutions; semiconductor properties of anodic oxide films; anodizing of aluminum and its alloys; charge/discharge processes of lead and lead dioxide electrodes in sulphuric acid solution; application of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) to the kinetic analysis of corrosion reactions and energy storage in active electrode materials and to the characterization of porous.
